Computer Blues
Last night my workhorse G5 froze. HARD. Restarting didn't do a damn thing, I was lucky if I even got the Apple chime.
I've been through all kinds of hoops today and I think it was bad memory but honestly I'm not sure because even after removing the memory - that through a lengthy and crazy-making process of elimination - seemed to be the culprit, the computer managed to freeze again while running a permissions check running from the install CD.

Yeah, not thrilled. I think it's fair to say my current project's deadline is hosed and I'm now left in the uncomfortable position of not knowing if it's going to go kaboom again.
I may have to buy a new tower. Anyone got good Mac connections? Bueller?
