Much good and much bad has happened in the months since I last posted.

After a particularly stressful October (including, for those of you who didn't know, the death of Sue's Dad, our last remaining parent), the last week has turned out pretty damned well:

Sue got a promotion: she's now Director of Financial Aid at Angelina.
The Coordinating Board approved the re-vamped version of the Dublin/London trip, and the number of students who have told me they're definitely going is now up to 16.
As You Like It was beautiful... and, at least by the last couple of performances, the show I wanted to put on the stage. I've had several people tell me that they were particularly impressed by the fact that the actors knew what they were saying, "and that makes it easier for us to know what they're saying." Yep, that was Job 1.
Got a very nice note from my new boss for doing Showcase Saturday... he has undoubtedly given me more support just in the last couple of weeks than his predecessor did in six years.
And, in football, the Jayhawks, picked for fourth in the Big 12 North, are now the only undefeated team in a major conference, and are #2 in the country. (We casually avoid mentioning the gridiron prowess of either my undergrad alma mater or my current place of employment.)
And I got to talk to my favorite aunt this weekend... she's the closest thing we now have to a parent... she'll be 79 next month and still does everything as if she were half that age.
And Thanksgiving--my favorite holiday--is around the corner.

So although this will be a working vacation, I can't complain...
