burn unit time

I scalded my stomach with boiling water yesterday and also the tip of my tongue doesn't work because I held something sour there for too long. What a day of bad luck.

How did you manage to scald your stomach, without scalding everything else between mouth and stomach?

I'm not even gonna ask about the tongue thing.

I was (stupidly) pouring the water out of a pan of spaghetti, but I held the pan over the sink and tilted it towards myself. and water sure is fast when it's rushing down!
