what can we say, we just cant get invloved....
did you know that child welfare cant get invloved with a family unless someone acctually witnesses the abuse! i called today to try and help a little boy down the street from me, i saw him out in the snow barefoot at 1130p.m. last week running away from some guy he said wasnt his father, and cps said they couldnt do anything unless i saw this guy hurt the boy. i guess barefoot in the snow and scared wasnt enough for them. you better beleive that i will be watching very closely from now on!! i only hope i can get the system involved before my hubby or myself have to.
More bad news today, i went and had our taxes figured and we ended up oweing $1035.00! ouch! i guess it doesnt pay to be well off with out kids to claim. *shakes head*
In better news, we are starting to catch back up after the slow winter season. Trev is back to getting 40+ a week, so that is good. My office is still on the back burner, i had to ship all of my extra equipment and office supplies to our head office on the coast this weekend. that leaves me a little scared, but the gal at h&r block said i would be great at taxes and should think about taking the class this summer. I will think about that;) I do love those numbers<3
I have been feeling the need to help others lately, everyone i know seems to be haveing such a hard time, and I wish i could do more to help. I am starting a support group for laugh/smile challenged friends though, i really think i can teach people to see the brighter side of life. For all you out there reading this, you know who you are, help me help you!! possible lunch at moons mongoloian grill this saturday sometime. I promise it wont be one of those craft projects making smiley faces out of paper plates and pipe cleaners or anything, just good times laughing with good people:):)
