Asura's soul wavelength is essentially a force of madness which forces itself into people's souls, awakening their inner madness.
The result can be pretty much anything-everyone's inner insanity is different after all. They could become more violent, obsessive (with anything-power, order, chaos, cheese), manic, depressive, paranoid, possessive, nihilist to the extreme, become sociopath or psychopathic but otherwise remain the same. Anything is possible. That's what madness is, after all. Basically, in whatever way a person is typically 'insane', or possess the potential to become, is amplified until it devours their reason.
Somethings to consider-
People who are outright insane from the top of their jiggly jester's hats to the bottom of their tissue boxes worn on their feet will not be effected at all. They're already crazy.
People who are insane and containing themselves will 'snap' and just act without that restraint. (For example, Arachne was biding her time and lying in wait. The Kishin Wavelength caused her to instead step up her plans and act.)
Healthy, sane individuals will feel their madness expanding and their reason slipping down. The more sane, the more they'll notice it-people who are cold blooded, sadistic or otherwise slightly dysfunctional, almost in the above category but maintaining reason, might not even notice it happening. (Harvar D. Éclair, for example, is a good person who fights on the side of justice. But, he has no emotional reaction to killing a former team mate and has only been shown smiling telling an enemy that they'll die if they try anything funny. He didn't even feel Arachne's madness attacks which caused people not even in her presence to start to collapse and hallucinate.)
Keep in mind that order is also a type of madness, and can be turned into fanatical devotion. Someone who never strays from the rules can be just as twisted as someone who never pays any attention to them at all. (For example, Justin Law was thought to be the type of person who would be resistant to the Kishin due to his devotion to god-turns out, you can be devoted to madness itself.)
Having a strong soul (and a strong will to back it up) can resist the madness, but because there doesn't exist a person who has no madness at all, immunity is impossible. Certain souls possess wavelengths which are extremely resistant to the point that it is almost immunity (such as Maka Albarn's Anti-Demon Wavelength), but madness will always be a creepin' around the edges.
There are also Clowns-These are living beings, with their own souls, made up entirely of the madness wavelength. Their one and only goal, ambition and reason for living is spreading madness, which they can do very well thank you very much. If they really need or want to, they can attach to someone's soul directly. Asura can only create one clown in Fac1.
When infected, people feel liberated and becoming willing slaves to madness. For this reason, they're very likely to consider Asura to be their new god, becoming his follower.
I'm just putting this up out of curiosity, because obviously, madness plots will happen only with mun permission, but here:
Type of Madness: How are they crazy?
How susceptible to infection(0-10): 0 being already insane, 1 being hanging onto reason by a thread, 10 being in the area of 'I can't believe it's not immunity.'
How big a difference?: Will they be pretty much the same, just with one thing changed, or do they become a total wreck of their former self?
