It OWNS me, I tell you...

As much as I'd love to get tonight's performance overwith, a huge part of me is really dreading it. I wish the department didn't always expect such miracles of me - I'm only human, after all.

On the bright side, the prelude I'm playing for Jamie on guitar afterward will feel like child's play after that damn Chopin waltz is through with me..... note, I say "after IT's through with ME". Yeah, it owns me. Hopefully that'll change after I go and practice for roughly forever.

The schedule goes as follows:

4:00-4:30 - practice like a fiend in the piano lab
4:30-5:00 - attempt to eat some sort of dinner
5:00-6:00 - practice on the grand piano in the auditorium before someone else claims it
6:00-6:30 - contemplate on whether to do the guitar piece first before the recital or not
6:30-7:00 - fret about the performance, resist the urge to bum a cigarette off one of the singers
7:00 - ?? - SHOW TIME!!!
after that: if I haven't already played my piece for Jamie, I'll do that, then bail. Maybe I'll even go to bed early.

My stomach is turning, turning, turning. Come on, Freddie (bad Chopin reference): Don't let me down now.
