Memoirs of A Douche Bag

"After four years, I had met a lot of interesting people, gone to a couple of classes and restored a motorcycle, and that was it. And so I wasted my time at college."- Tucker Carlson. It's dissapointing to see how an allegedly top notch journalist spent his college time, by repairing motorcycle. I've never had respect for the man, whether talking about democratic demons or Tila Tiquila from Myspace.com (yeah, she's pretty, but so is my gf) it's inane babble, especially his blog "Untied". His show "The Situation" doesn't fair any better. I suppose it's his response to "The Daily Show" taking ideas from the hilarious and eventful ESPN sport/talk show "Pardon The Interuption" and meshing it with pretentious humor. I'm not playing compare and contrast, but after reading what Anderson Cooper had to deal with, such as his father's death, his brother comitting suicide at the ripe age of 22, he's has shown resiliance and a passion for journalism that few will achieve, a pinnacle of a journalistic career. I write this for I want to achieve a career of a journalist that people strive for; being on location, investigating a certain topic or whatever the situation may be. My thoughts and convictions lead me to believe that I can do great things, and make the most of the time I have right now, because if a dolt such as Tucker Carlson, the political talk show host equivalent of Carson Daly, can host his own gimmicky show, then I believe I can do greater things with my career and the time and opportunities I have.
