Alright kids, before we get to the hard stuff for exam revision and essay practise, I want everyone to work on their practical skills with their charts again. This icy fog is supposed to lift over the weekend, so I have a little assignment for everyone.
For the next three nights, the tower will be open after dinner up until curfew for everyone to use the telescopes to observe the sky and chart the patterns of astronomic matter. I'll even let you all pick what you want to observe so it'll be more interesting for you, be it a moon, a planet, anything you like. Each night you will check on the changes made to the object you're observing, and on Monday, write up a short report to sum up your findings in class.
It'll only take fifteen to twenty minutes each night and you can come up to the tower when it suits. However I won't be tolerant of people waiting until right before curfew to come and get the work done. If you have a legit excuse for one evening, fair enough. More than that I will be deducting house points and marks off the grade of what you turn in.
