I really like these Gus Van Sant movies. I've seen My Own Private Idaho and Gerry and Last Days and now I'm into seeing Elephant.
I think Van Sant and Jim Jarmusch are the best american film makers these days. I'd like them to do some more movies like these, I mean, for Jarmusch, something more like Stranger Than Paradise and Down By Law than Broken Flowers.
And for this actor, River Phoenix, I wish he had played Rimbaud in Total Eclipse. DiCaprio was very good in it, but I think that Phoenix would have been better. Fuckin' shame he passed away before they made Total Eclipse.
