- Something special for Challenge #30: The idea stolen from ewanstillness, but I changed few things. Here's what it's about... You'll be making sets of 3 icons. Every icon in the set has to be made of the same picture, but following the different rule for each icon. I'm posting 3 pictures. NO. You don't have to enter 3 sets. You can enter only one, or two sets.

Re-use them in what way? I already wrote in the entry:

You CAN make more than one set of the same picture, but all the icons within one set need to be of one picture alone.

Is that what you mean?

I'm sorry, but I can't accept your entries as they are. The second icons in both sets don't follow the rules. They have to be either completely black&white or have only ONE other color. Your icons have more than one. For example, that icon in second set has blue and green. And in the first set I can't even count all the colors. If you're not sure about this rule of just ONE other color being used on a black&white icon, maybe you could make them completely black&white. You can't go wrong with that.

Oh man! thanks for letting me know, though. I am so definitely blind. I guess I didn't followed your special rules clearly. lol
I will re-make those 'black&white' icons in each sets.

It's okay. Those 'black&white + one color' challenges are pretty popular in communities lately, so I didn't explain that rule throughly, thinking most people are familiar with it.

Hello!
*raises hand* I be new, and I'm confused with the instructions of sets....and stuff.

Icons in a set have to follow these rules:
- 1st icon = Anything you want. It's entirely up to you!
- 2nd icon = Black&white. It can be either completely b&w or have ONE other color.
- 3rd icon = You have to use either a texture or a stock image on this one.

Does this mean that you can make a set of..whatever. Then make another set of 3 black and white, then another set of texturedness? Or is that not allowed @_@?

Ehh, sorry. I can't explain it very well, its just...confusing.

Well, first of all: Welcome! ;)

No, it means that every set has to consist of three icons that follow those rules. For example, you make a set of 3 icons from one of those pics and in that set the first icon is however you want it, the second one is black&white (or with just ONE other color) and the third one is with a texture. Am I making myself clear? LOL

No problem. ;)

I stopped having strict deadlines few challenges ago. This is a very strange community. Sometimes we get enough entries in a week, and sometimes I have to extend challenges for weeks and weeks. So I decided not to have deadlines anymore. I close the challenge when we have enough icons. Voting is always on Fridays, though.

Oh my God, I'm SO sorry for being anal about this. Especially because I noticed it only NOW. :( But all your icons are 96x96. Icons should be 100x100. Some communities don't mind accepting a bit smaller icons, I know. But I'm trying to keep the same standard for all entries. 100x100 is the common LJ size for icons. ;)

(I make them 96x96 becuase of MSN, thus they'll fit with *ANYTHING* when this size)

Oh no no! You're in this time. ;) Just keep it in mind for future.

Of course they FIT, that's not the point. You must be new to LJ, right? Sorry if I'm wrong. Just look around you! At people's icons, icons they're posting, entering for challenges, they're all 100x100. That's the 'official' size for LiveJournal. There are places where avatars need to be smaller, I know. There are forums where they can't be bigger than 50x50. The LJ common size is 100x100, though. We're trying to keep the same standard for all icons and participants. That's all. :)
