This is my chat log with a PlayOnline technical service rep about my login problems for the past 24 hours.

FFXI TSR Gary: Currently we are experiencing login difficulties with PlayOnline. The issue is currently being addressed, and we will post new information as it becomes available. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience.

This is most likely not being caused by something on your end as it is affecting many customers. You can continue to try and connect or you can stay tuned to www.playonline.com for updates. We currently have no ETA when this will be resolved.
Steve Yoe: Yea, because my laptop which I am using now is working online, but FFXI won't work on it. My Wireless G adapter for my PS2 works for other gaming systems too. So, there is nothing I can do?
FFXI TSR Gary: As of right now, I cannot troubleshoot with you because I cannot rule us out as the cause of the problem. If after we have resolved our problem, you still have problems, contact us again and we can properly troubleshoot the problem
Steve Yoe: Bummer, I had things planned to do. This is an inconvienece. Oh well.....thank you for you help. Have a good one.
FFXI TSR Gary: Are there any other issues I can assist you with right now, Steve?

I love it when nothin gets resolved at all.....and I'm still not playing my game.
