So, basically, for my birthday my sister invited me to stay with her from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday (later switched to when she comes home on Friday). So my mom drives me up there and we meet my sister and her roommate at The Leigh Mall. We shopped for a bit and then drove like 5 minutes away and my sister's like happy birthday, we're going to the concert. So, we we're at the Crocodile Rock Cafe and we had to wait outside for over an hour but it was okay because we were pretty close. Then we got inside, and we were really close, like if they had rows, we would've been 3rd row. But let me tell you, Crocodile Rock is such a friggin small venue. Like your stuffed and that's even with the drinkers staying at the bar. So the opening act came on, making really good timing. It was a girl named Marie(accent mark over the e) Digby, and she was pretty good. And she was one of the nice conversational singers. I sadly felt like I was going to faint at this point though, and couldn't fully appreciate her music. But then, she, who was complaining (nicely, and moreso for the fans) about the heat, got them to open up the three garage doors on the side. And still, a girl fainted. More people were annoying and pushed like crazy and it's rediculous cause we waited for how long to get that close, and they didn't. And between everything I felt like I was going to pass out or puke. But then, when he came on stage, none of it mattered, and I think that if I was about to do either I would've been able to stop myself.
Gavin opened with Relative. and oh man when he sang 'A wet dream, isn't the real thing' his motions were pretty damn great. haha. At one point he sang without his mike but this stupid lady kept screaming when he was trying to sing. He sang Chemical Party/Proud Mary which was I love, and Young Love.
All in all, he sang I think 17 songs. And, he has a sparkley silver piano. How cool is that? =]
I have some pictures, but they're crappy quality due to my camera. But, my sister's friend took some pictures.
Wednesday, I woke up. Got ready and went to the library with my sister to play Bridege. In my opinion, it's really hard. But, me and my partner one the majority of times. I won once when I bid and only had 7 points in my hand (you shouldn't bid unless you have like 13 points) and I got someone to bid up to like 5 and lose, so yea, I kick ass.
Then we played water polo, and oh boy I am sore. It's intense. There were 4 boys and 4 girls(including me), and I was the only none college person. There were 2 of each on a team and the girls that planned the game is a beast. She's like pretty tall and thin and you really wouldn't expct her to be so agressive. But yea, in the course of the game I was dunked, and had my arm and legs pulled. And I really need a back rub.
Today, we went to the library, and I started doing my college essays while my sister did her work. Later, we are playing volleyball and going out to eat and who knows what else, haha.
