I'm writing up a report for my anthro class that's due tomorrow - we're 'conducting' a forensic anthropology investigation with only a short summary and a handful of photographs to go by. I have to come up with the sex, age, race, cause and time of death for the skeleton in the photographs.
Now,the skull has an extra two huge (4cm dia) holes in its head. I'm thinking gunshot wound, but all I'm finding on my searches is examples of small caliber damage and they don't match what I'm seeing. So, plug in 'shotgun' along with 'forensics' and 'skull'. What do I find... that's right, the skull that's in my report materials. That website oh so handily lets me know it's a 20 year old female African American with damage from .410 gauge shotgun.
