lj is so screwed up on this computer. the parameters arent right or something. text is overflowing like it normally does in netscape, but this is explorer, so i dont know whats up with that.

i called around (after my boss made me) about german tutors today. this one lady was too full up at the moment, which she was really upset about, because i told her i wanted to move, and of course, 'my course would be perfect for you!' so i called CSIT who suck now more than TAFE do. no wait. no one sucks as much as TAFE. so then i called the good shepard lutheran college, because my boss said, and they're lutheran, so they should teach german, but the german teacher there (who sounds spanish) is fully booked too, but her friend (who has no name) is a really good teacher, and she is german, so that'll help, and shes only teaching 2 or 3 days a week at the moment, and ... what would you know? she called this teacher lady friend of hers just a while ago looking for students! shes going to call me back (its now 4.06, i called around 9.30) and let me know. i bet she forgot. i'll call her again tomorrow to remind her to get onto her friend cos i really want to learn.

also, found out that because mum is a swedish citizen by birth, i am also a swedish citizen, in a sort of by proxy fashion. if i apply before im 22 for my citizenship, it will be issued pretty much without question. sweden is part of the European Union, so i wont have to apply for residency or work permits or anything. i might even be allowed to get one of those swanky ID cards.

went across to noosa travel today (flight centre sucks, dont EVER use them) and got some quotes. rough estimates, because the new prices havent been released yet (released end march) and end of september to end november is low season, so the prices will be lower still. the most expensive quote ive had is $1920 return. mum said i should get a return ticket so if things dont work out, or if i run out of money before i get a job or anything, i can still get home. they're valid for 12 months, so i have plenty of time to get used to living in a different country (again) although this country speaks a different language, so it will be different. i used that word far too much. NI.

so, all i really need to organise is finding an apartment and finding a job. everything else has been started, and is well on its way to being completed. oh, and i need to save. i'll have around $6,500 by the end of october, which is when i want to move (i want to move august, but i wont be able to afford it then), and mum worked out i'll have enough money for accom for 6 months and to buy sheets, plates, cutlery, food, clothes, insurance, power, water, phone, internet, bla bla blaaaaaaaaaaaah everything for around three or four months. she didnt take into consideration the ticket cost though, so i'll take the quotes home (im at work. alone. again. somethings never change) and get her to work it out with those prices. she also might be giving me some money when i move, which would be nice of her, considering shes taking my pay till the end of march because she got herself into debt again and cant afford to pay it off. i swear to god, i am never getting a credit card. they're more trouble than they're worth.

im gonna go now and try to find this letter i want to base this other letter on. yvonne wants me to type out inspection letters for her. if i wasnt so desperate for work, i wouldnt have agreed to do it. damn. and i have to call raoul about that form 27 for the contract. shite. i hope hes turned his phone back on.
