Zel stepped through the gates. He assumed the boy surrounded by what appeared to be knots made of clothes was the one he'd offered to help. He raised a hand in greeting. "Hello."
He wasn't wearing the hooded cloak he normally did - it had tried to suffocate him and ended up tied to a tree on the outskirts of a small town in Zefillia.
Issei bowed low, looking ridiculous. "Thank you for coming here on such short notice," he said. "I - well, I don't really know how any of this works, but I'd be grateful for anything that you could do."
Zel nodded. "Don't mention it. Part of the reason I took so long was because I was making this." He pulled what appeared to be a silver bracelet set with a ruby out of his pocket. "It holds a defensive spell that should be able to protect you from injury, at least to an extent. If something large hit you, it would still knock you over, but you wouldn't actually be hurt. As long as an actual weapon doesn't attack you you should be fine."
