Shadow
Name: Ryudo Issei. He won't complain, whatever you call him.
Description:
A young man in vividly-colored and patterned purple robes. (Art by
lylith_st, do not steal.) They're definitely not the standard robes for monks nowadays. A small few people might be reminded of the beautifully colored robes that Japanese Buddhist acolytes used to wear, when the young monks were the focus of attention in the temples... To Issei, who studies this sort of thing, it'd be a symbol of servitude and seeking attention all in one.
Personality: Issei's issues include: perceived lack of trust from his friends, inability to do anything to help said friends, feeling as though his friends don't care about his own issues, generally feeling as though no one likes him as much as he likes them, and how much worse all of this issues are when they apply to his crushes. Also, he really liked Caster, who as you recall took over his body and was going to kill him; Kuzuki, who he considered a beloved elder brother for a number of years, obviously didn't care whether he lived or died. Technically this is more of the same issues, but they're a little... more substantial.
Toward other people, Shadow!Issei is servile, nearly desperate. He admits freely that he'd do anything for a mere scrap of affection from them, or even a second of attention. He calls people by their first names if they've asked him to. He's brutally honest when it comes to their friendship - they don't have one. That would imply reciprocity, after all. But in the middle of telling someone that they never cared about him, he'll still be deferring and eager to please. If they don't care about him, he'll do enough for them that they'll have to care.
It's toward himself that Shadow!Issei unleashes his anger. He despises himself. He's too weak, unable to help anyone meaningfully. He doesn't have the interest of his 'friends' because he's worthless. It's no surprise that no one cares about what he wants; what he wants doesn't matter. He isn't even strong enough to keep from attacking his friends. He's a pathetic wretch, and Shadow!Issei can't stand to be him.
Dungeon/Enviroment: The Ryudoji Temple remains as it is... Or it appears to from the outside. Inside, it's completely empty - empty of other monks, empty of furniture, even empty of books and religious items.
The Shadow's 'True Form':
Name: Warped Acolyte
Description: Issei's Shadow's robes spread out until they cover the entire floor of the battling area. His face and visible body twists into something haglike (his grimace reminiscent of his Persona's.) Issei attacks by dragging his opponents under and toward him with more robe-tendrils, incapacitating them until they're freed. So this is what I need to bring you closer to me? Very well.
Level: Mid-70's.
Persona
Name:
Jikokuten, a guardian of part of Buddha's realm.
Description:
Persona 3 art.Role/Category: Fighter, some Support
Level: Low-70's
Elemental Resistance:
Resist: Physical, Wind
Block: None
Absorb: None
Reflect: None
Weak: Dark
Jikokuten is very good at inflicting Slash damage upon the enemy. He has some support skills that assist in this/general kicking ass, as well as some that deal with his Dark weakness.
Zan-ei (targets one enemy, Slash damage, power: 120)
Sukunda (targets one enemy, lowers Hit and Evasion rates for 3 turns)
Auto-Sukukaja (begins the battle with Hit and Evasion rates increased for 3 turns)
Revolution (targets all allies and enemies, but I'm overruling that because this Jikokuten is cooler, increases probability of critical hits for 3 turns)
Survive Dark (50% chance of surviving a dark instant death spell with 1 HP)
Evade Slash (triples evasion against Slash attacks)
Endure Dark (automatically survive a dark instant death spell any number of times with 1 HP)
I may fiddle with this list a bit, given that Jikokuten only starts at mid-20's in Persona 3.
