sometimes we raise our guns of pain

Ahahaha. So, okay. I got a new computer about a month ago (early birthday present from my mother, who bought it for me on Mother's Day), and when I set up iTunes again, it just automatically imported all of the iTunes-able stuff I had, regardless of where on the computer it was or whether or not I wanted it there. And I haven't gotten around to neatening it up yet, because it's just going to be so much work*, which means that listening to my iPod in the car is a lot of skipping random things. Like Schizophrenic-era radio interviews JC did, of which I apparently have 8 million, because they come up every second or third track, what the hell, I don't think I've ever listened to a JC radio interview in my life, ever, so I don't know why I felt the need to download all of them.

Anyway, so yesterday a song that I was OBSESSED WITH when I was 13/14 popped up and I laughed and laughed and laughed. Here, let me let you laugh with me:

So many epic manpain fists in that video! 13/14-year old me is jealous, because MuchMusic never, ever played Trixter videos, so this video should be fulfilling some sort of decades-long yearning, but 33-year old me just giggles.

Now I want to go home and dig through my VHS tapes to see if I can find any of the endless series of tapes on which I have TV-taped music videos and/or interviews with hair-ish type bands with whose bass players I was obsessed (Skid Row, G'n'R, etc.).

(33-year me's current sad obsession: Sims 3, which I just got, and OH MY GOD, why do I have to do things like go to work and eat and socialize and SLEEP? I just want to plaaaaaay.)

sims, things about me, ridiculousness
