1. Reply to this post, and I will pick four/five of your userpics.
2. Make a post and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon fabulousness.
halowrites asked about these:
I'll be your baby tonight: Michael Scofield's pretty, pretty face, from the Prison Break pre-jail flashback episode of much squeeing. It was pretty awesome to see Michael as a completely different person, just a normal cheerful guy, not the guy we know who got a giant tattoo and held up a bank in order to break his older brother out of prison. Also, he was maybe a little slutty. *g* I like the colours, and um, the warmth of it, and really. The face. So pretty! Keywords from the Bob Dylan song of the same name.
goddamn right it's a beautiful day: Christian Bale in Newsies!! Giggling like a twelve-year-old boy and being generally adorable!! This icon was keywordless for ages until I settled on the lyric from 'Mr. E's Beautiful Blues' by The Eels. I have watched this movie approximately seven thousand times, and I still love it.
how this relates to my life: Tim Riggins' pretty, pretty face from the episode where Landry gets roped into tutoring Tim, which is maybe my favourite episode of Friday Night Lights ever. This is my M.O. for basically 95% of my icons: crop a picture down to feature someone's pretty, pretty face, futz with brightness/contrast, whack a border on, done! This is my icon for when I am being thinky at people, or maybe for when I am trying to be self-reflective and failing, or for when I just want to look at Tim Riggins (mostly that one).
because maybe you're gonna be the one: Seth Cohen! Sitting on the floor playing video games and looking up at Ryan with such hope! I really love The OC sometimes. Keywords from Oasis, which is kind of lame, and I kind of don't care because they fit. Also, because Seth is all isolated and withdrawn until he gets Ryan, and then his whole life is different, which is kind of how I am. I just need a person of my own, and then I can do a lot. But also, I love Seth, and I just really like the look of this icon. Mostly I use it on
offonmars, because I identify The OC with her, even though Seth is not her guy.
one day I am going to grow wings: Great blue herons are pretty frigging awesome birds, all tall and stately and solitary. The keywords are from Radiohead's 'No Surprises', which is at once very depressing and very comforting and very me.

Things afoot:
- Due to some things at work that basically boil down to Other Lawyer being kind of crazy, Boss Lawyer and I will be picking up and moving to a different office sometime in the summer. I was hoping for someplace closer to me, but it looks like it will be further away, which is sucky, but I did get a little bit excited today when we were measuring stuff and going over the potential floor plan. I don't know. I'm really bad at visualizing how things are going to be until they have actually happened. Also, it will probably be just Boss Lawyer and I for the first bit, but the plan is to get a new Other Lawyer fairly quickly if possible, so that will be its own new weirdness.
- New Kids tour! My best friend is cracking me up with how seriously she is taking this. She has sent me approximately 500 emails in the past week about what we think the floor plan might be, and how big the Air Canada Centre is, and how can we avoid sitting in the Danny and/or Jon sections, and so on. We're general admission people, usually, and she's having a hard time figuring out what to do with assigned seating. My feeling is that there is no possible way for us to be further away than I was when I saw NKOTB in 1990, so whatever. Also, it's New Kids On the Block, it's going to be hilarious and dorky no matter where we sit. Except I think they might actually be doing the concert "in the round", which. Who does that? Nobody thinks that's a good idea, right? I've never seen a concert with that setup, but it just seems like it kind of turns all the seats into crappy ones for at least some of the time. Also, as the BFF put it, "They are so not that cool." Hee.
- I'm tired of this stupid cough now. It's like a cold that is totally contained in the nose and throat area. I'm not stuffed up most of the time, but if I bend over at all, my nose starts to run. And I'm coughing all of the time, but it's not any sort of satisfying chest cough, it's just a relentless tickle in my throat that never goes away. Ugh.
