Saturday nite soccer fever
Yes!!! Arsenal is back to the top of the table. Watch the 1st half at China Square at a cafe after dinner. I hate that tree that is blocking my view. Luckily we shift or I swear I will chop down that tree. We have a snake head there to settle the view problem. Nice view & the match just started. Within the first 10 minutes, Both team scored with Arsenal Edu free kick is deflected in by dunno who. Mass orgy there. But the goal that Hernan Crespo scored..... I can only open my mouth & say "WOW". That was cracking curler to the right top corner. That power, that curve angle & the accuracy. No wonder Chelsea paid so much for him. The 1st half was very exciting that I forget all about my coffee. When I remembered, DAMN.... I hate cold coffee.
I watch the 2nd half eating satay & drinking myself silly. Everyone is cursing here & there & cheering. A very typical kopi tiam surrounding. Every near miss or players shooting wide will have someone asking about the players' mother's private part, family death cert or boasting that their grandmother can kick better than those players or scored with that similar suitation. Hmmm... wondering their grandmother can even run or still kicking alive? Is like they are betting with their whole family property. Cannot lose or they will lose their family. Hahahaha. Well, these people make watching soccer a national sport. Everyone have a common goal, that is to win their bet & support soccer. We just there to be enjoy the soccer, the crowd & the food.
The winner finally came with the courtesy of an error by Chelsea keeper Carlo Cudicini. Thierry Henry make no mistake from there. We (me, The Man, Mr Cool & Miss Lian) were wondering why Carlo Cudicini was never in the national team despite having a good performance in the Chelsea. Now we knoe why liao. With a mistake like that, he can forget about making it to the national team.
P.S It seem strange to me that Arsenal is top at the fair play award, despite the chaos cause at the Man U match and the number of yellows & reds the gunner is collecting. Thinking Arsenal can kiss the fair play goodbye after what have happen. Life is full of wonder isn't it.
