So much for sleeping. I went camping in Tobermorry, Ontario with the Mahers and another family the last two days. It was beautiful. Tobermorry is the northernmost point on the Bruce Pennisula, which juts out into northern Lake Huron. We had a camper, so it wasn't too hardcore. The first night we slept there, I had trouble sleeping, so I went to take Emily's dog for a walk. I've never seen so many stars in my life! I couldn't stop staring. There was lots of wildlife to see, too- jack rabbits, crazy lookin moths, and racoons. The best part of the little vacation, though, has to be the alcohol. Now, I know what you're thinking- the two crazy kids got wasted. Well, kind of. Em and I bought a six pack of beer, just because we could legally and that felt really cool, fully intending to bring it back to the campsite and freak her parents out. Too bad they were all trashed by the time we got there! I felt like I was hanging out with a bunch of friends, except that these people were in their 50s. It was sweet. Beware of rum and tonic.
Anyhow, I haven't slept much at all the last four days, and work tonight should be interesting. Hopefully I won't have to close. I'm just going to come backto my house and sleeeeeeeeeep and it will be good.
Nature is pretty sweet. I find myself wanting to sleep outside even when I'm out home. Hopefully Phil and I will get some good hiking in soon. Summer is by far, the best season.
