Good Day, Sunshine

Yesterday's thunderstorm failed to live up to all the hype. The onset was pretty sweet- one minutes, Becky, John, Phil and me were playin at the Auburn Hills park, the next, we're runnin towards my car as the storm is literally trailing behind us. It was really windy, and it made the sand in the park swirl around in there, so I thought it would be pretty dramatic. No tornados or loud thunder, though. Just lots and lots of wind and rain. And a power outage at my house (but no other place in Rochester.) And a gorgeous rainbow against a cranberry sky just before sunset.

Today's Pistons game was intense! I was getting really nervous in the fourth quarter, crouched in my chair and ready to pounce, although I don't know on what. Detroit came through in the clutch, though, and we're going on to the finals. Hopefully I can catch an away game on Palace Vision.

We leave for Bonnaroo in two days. I'm mixed about it. First of all, the forecast says thunderstorms. That just sucks. Hopefully, though, if there are any, they will be quick. Second of all, I know what to expect now. Maybe it won't be as cool as it was last year. I know a lot more people going this year, and I hope everyone new to the festival will have as much fun as I did last year. What if they don't though? Will they be mad at me?! What if this just all around sucks?! Ahhhgg! As long as I get to see some quality music, everything should be ok.

In the meantime, I have yet to make a significant profit this summer. My time spent in unemployment combined with slow business at both Kruse and Muer and Twin Lakes is really screwing me over. I'm gonna have to pick up the pace hardcore when I come home on Monday.
