Progress report!
The front and back pieces of my yellow versatile cotte are fully cut out, hooray! I've saved sleeves and gores for later. I anticipate that I'll pin it, try it on and see where I want them. There's plenty of fabric left for both.
In other fabulous news, I can has buttons! Well, specifically, I have one button completely made. They are wicked cool! I followed the directions
here. I used a regular-sized spool of thread to trace my circle and it came out perfectly--just the size I'd envisioned them in my head. I have also measured my arm from wrist to just above my elbow, and it looks as if I will need about 50 buttons total.
Unfortunately, I forgot to pack the green wool, so I won't be able to make any green buttons this weekend. Bother. Ah, well...there's always Coldwood next weekend. :-) I may practice making some buttonholes instead if I get all of the buttons done before the end of the weekend.
