Progress report!

The front and back pieces of my yellow versatile cotte are fully cut out, hooray!  I've saved sleeves and gores for later.  I anticipate that I'll pin it, try it on and see where I want them.  There's plenty of fabric left for both.

In other fabulous news, I can has buttons!  Well, specifically, I have one button completely made.  They are wicked cool!  I followed the directions here.  I used a regular-sized spool of thread to trace my circle and it came out perfectly--just the size I'd envisioned them in my head.  I have also measured my arm from wrist to just above my elbow, and it looks as if I will need about 50 buttons total.

Unfortunately, I forgot to pack the green wool, so I won't be able to make any green buttons this weekend.  Bother.  Ah, well...there's always Coldwood next weekend.  :-)  I may practice making some buttonholes instead if I get all of the buttons done before the end of the weekend.
