i found this on www.urbandictionary.com i'm guilty of some of these things i'll have to admit....but definately not on purpose!

The most annoying genre of teenagers that have become victims to there own arrogant non conformist beliefsScene people like other scene people.
Other times they feel intimidated by those who come off more scene or offbeat and hard. They will try to out do each other but not to much. Never tell them there scene. They'll look at you like you just went and said the dumbest most ignorant statement ever. They'll only retort with some deep trying to hard answer with big words, or just "commmmme onnnn man?!".
Scene people ALLLL have myspaces. Its been said before but they dont look at the camera and there hair is 100% of the time in there face. They love to write random abstract weird things because its just so scene to do so...i.e

Under music they'll list all there scene indie bands, some they actually like. most they have heard one song but list it anyway because it sounds cool. There always interested in finding the next scene band and bands no one will know but it has to sound comfortably indie or they wont risk it. What was supposed to be about the MUSICC, is now about clothes, hair, gallavanting around la just to be seen, and how many other scene people you know.
There are so many different catergories of scene kids...punks, 80's, mod, indie/hippies (lots of mary-kate want to be's), hardcore...the list goes on.
The most typical scene ones wear eyeliner, have the dark shaggy hair OF COURSE like EVERY OTHER ONE, wear tight girl pants, hoodies, a belt, a pierced lip, converse, vintage tight band shirts, walk annoyingly scene and think there better then everyone. Alot of scene guys in general tend to look like gaunt heroin addicts and the mod ones especially tend to look gay. Now...the girls have black choppy hair with one thick white streak (then again not always) or very very white blonde and side bangs are a must alwayss. They wear jeans with rips, converse, thrift, band shirts, so called vintage clothes from melrose, whatevers as unique as possible to them without being just plain weird. They also ussually have a nose or lip piercing.
Then theres my favorite...
the skinny mod indie ones. Just as scene but will deny it more. The guys wear tight pants, some off beat top, blazers or a sweater, they have shaggy hair of course most of the time even longer then typical. They never look clean. The girls wear clothes from urban outfitters, but dont like to admit it...theyll try to pass it off as vintage, t shirts with pictures of dinosaurs or computer looking stuff like robots cause its a modern world, dirty converse, bigger band shirts with thrift store beads, blazers, weird little jackets. Most will have there ipod on hand but deeply believe machines will not communicate. They are into being intellectual, emotional. They love art , photography (ohh we all know there not looking through a stephen sakulsky book and actually enjoying it), salvador dali, travel, radiohead, the shins, stupid ambient music like sigor ros and mogwai. But of course they force themselves to know there classic underground roots- simon and garfunkel, velvet underground, etc. Of course they like vinyl, people watching, minority groups, bordeauxs, anything as different from you as possible. There favorite movie is eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, fight club, high fidelity, blah blah blah. The world is corrupted to them and they like to have an I know everything 60's hippie additude...its all about peace and love.
There all EVERYWHERE. They just want to be cool, and they NO IT. Theres a mass in Hollywood.

typical "scene" girl:
-choppy hair
-usually black
-septum ring
-has a myspace with pictures of her from crazy angles with a TUFF face on because shes so hardxcore
-goes to local shows all the time
-belongs to a livejournal community called "cuntxcore" or "gungunbangbang" or "murderscene". because anything involving guns, or bang, or murder, or glamour, electric, shock, lust, or cunt, is cool in her book
-often says things like "SUP NIGZ" or "KTHXBAI" or "I HATE YOU KDIE" or "IM COOLER THAN YOU K" or "SUP IM RAD" on their myspace profile
-loves dinosaurs and robots and little girl bows and headbands because its just the way things are in the scene. dont ask them why all of them happen to find all of these things suddenly attractive, because they dont know themselves, its just what TOTALLY SCENExCORE people do.
usually theyre just obnoxious bitches who put on this "scener than thou" attitude and hate everyone else, kthxbai lol.i am so scene, with my dinosaur shirt and my polka dot headband and my short choppy black hair and my cigarettes and my obnoxious attitude <3 kiss my ass kthxbai see you at the hardcore show tomorrow.
