...but I liked this one. and felt it necessary to pay some kind of tribute to 2004. so I'm stealing this from dana.

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? a lot. I guess I drove on my own...

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't think I made them. and if I did, obviously they were not effective if I can't even remember them.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? yes, my aunt. my baby cousin's awesome.

4. Did anyone close to you die? no.

5. What countries did you visit? I don't think I even went to canada.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? being more outgoing in some situations.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? june 7th

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? hmmm... I became better at accepting things for how they are. and became happier and more comfortable because of that.

9. What was your biggest failure? losing my parents' trust.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? not really.

11. What was the best thing you bought? car cd player? probably not. but it's been so useful.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? catherine. she's just such a good friend. and I don't commend her enough for that.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled? anyone who voted for bush.

14. Where did most of your money go? cds, gas, clothes

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? florida, nick, college plans

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2004? oh gosh. I guess... broken social scene - anthems for a seventeen-year-old girl.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: i. happier or sadder? happier.

ii. richer or poorer? richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? living in the moment.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? procrastinating.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? I spent it with various family members, being slightly bored, playing cards, and arguing over grammar questions. that should never have been questions.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004? who would have thought.

23. How many one-night stands? somewhere between zero and zero.

24. What was your favorite TV program? the o.c.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? no... I think I actually like more people. but I've realized my opinions of people change a lot between first impressions and when I actually get to know them.

26. What was the best book you read? hmmm I don't know.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? a lot.

28. What did you want and get? very rare boredom.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? napoleon dynamite or garden state. sorry dana, same answer.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 17, I was up north with friends.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? hmm... nothing, really.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004? changing?

34. What kept you sane? friends, nick, my mommo

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? the cast from the o.c. don't judge.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? the election. I wanted to smack about 1500 people at my school.

37. Who did you miss? roeper friends, college friends.

38. Who was the best new person you met? nick.

a real update is coming soon. with pictures. but photobucket was freaking out at me and I have to get up at 7.

I try not to get too into new year's. because then I get nostalgic in my weird way that I think only kate, jaime, and sara understand. because they've all talked about it before. but I'm starting to get nostalgic already. and it's bad.

is it gross that I want the o.c. to be my life?

I'm really excited to go to u of m next year. but then I'm realizing how far away many of my friends are going to be.

I can't believe break is almost over. ahhhhhhhh. where did the time go?
