iPods are difficult

Does anybody know how to upload DVD's to your iPod? I've been trying and I can't do it. I've used programs fron the internet, and I have also tried going to My Computer, getting the files from there, and dragging them to my library, but nothing is working.

Ideas, or Suggestions?
