new abode
We really like the house. It's small, but just what we need for the two of us and NO ROOMMATES! We called the lady as soon as we saw it (the current tenant showed us around cuz landlord wasn't in town) and told her that we wanted it for sure and were ready to give her a deposit so she wouldn't show it to anyone else! She said she'll be here tomorrow and she already has appointments to show it, but that I can have first crack at her at noon and she won't process any other applications unless we don't work out for some reason. So theoretically, we have a house! And it has a backyard (no fence, though) and a deck and a basement and it's RIGHT on the bus line and that bus runs all day, unlike the bus that goes by our current house just during rush hour. And it's really close to school so if I miss the bus, I can still get there without making Joe get up and drive me to school. Think I'll go for a walk right now and find out how long it takes, exactly. The dog is looking really bored and I think going for a very long walk is a much better idea than studying for final exams.
