My apologies to California

I'm sitting alone in an office building large enough to accommodate 20-30 people. The place is freezing, and I don't know how to turn down the air-conditioning. I keep drinking hot tea just so I can wrap my fingers around the cup to keep them from stiffening with the cold. Oh! That is so horrible! I hate when someone's idea of 'climate control' is arctic! if there is any sort of air flow 80 degrees can be comfortable. Where is everyone else?

I actually turned my heater on in my office for about half-an-hour this morning, and felt guilty, but I can't be miserably cold and work, can I?

I'm keeping cool the natural, old fashioned way: sitting in a small concrete room with a giant liquid-helium cooled electromagnet and a half-full tank of liquid nitrogen.

(Now, where did I leave my sweater? I'm going to need it.)
