I was reading this article because I adored Catwoman in Batman Returns. And the entire movie, really. The bit of the article that really struck me? Not the interesting duality of gender roles in Catwoman/Selina Kyle (although that was interesting too). It was a quote of hers to Batman/Bruce Wayne: “It seems that every woman you save ends up dead or deeply resentful. Maybe you should retire.”

Yet another way that Angel is secretly Batman.
