The Killer's "Don't Shoot Me Santa" music video. My brother and I have watched it a bunch of times over the last two days. We are in agreement that the beginning with the puppets is creepy. Especially the Santa puppet.
Their music videos in general are pretty unique... but that one really takes the cake. ...here comes the video spamming:
Mr. Brightside - big dramatic video borrowing heavily from Moulin Rouge. Features Eric Roberts who is both Julia Robert's brother and, according to my parents, the "King of B-Movies". The also think he's a better actor. My dad likes this video.
All These Things That I've Done - This is the first time I've seen this one, actually. Uh, cowboy trailer trash with women throwing boomerangs. And a foreshadowing of the current manly facial hair with the faux-staches. (I found it really amusing, but it might just be because I'm tired.)
When You Were Young - This video is AMAZING. If I made a list of my favourite videos ever, this would be on it. It has a dramatic story too. (The Killers have a tendency to dramatics.) The look on the actor's face when she pours the water down her legs... And the "HE DOESN'T LOOK A THING LIKE JESUS" awesome line.
Read My Mind - crazy Japan video. With bicycles. And the Japanese Elvis. And creepy green creature. (...oh god, the creepy green creature.)
Oh, here's a new one for
Shadowplay that's sort of interesting. And the video for
Tranquilize which is okay but the song is FANTASTIC.
