OMG IT IS FINALLY HAPPENING. I'm so glad you're enjoying it thus far!!!!

- Fakir is absolutely a jerk at the start and while I love him so very very much, I would never excuse his behaviour because SUCH AN ASSHOLE. (Mildly spoilery: it's going to get worse before it gets better, but it does get better and his character arc is fantastic.)

- RUE/AHIRU IS A THING I DO NOT SHIP BUT ALSO A THING I REALLY AM GLAD THAT PEOPLE SHIP. Also, I am writing an original fairytale thing where the two main characters are based off Rue and Ahiru and then they fall in love. That is the way in which I do not ship them.

- Anteaterina/Arikuimi: fear not you will see other weird animal ballerinas and it is the best.

I have seen the first five episodes! It's very good.

And in the fifth episode Fakir SHOVED AHIRU AGAINST A WALL which is probably not what you meant about it getting worse but she's so tiny. ...also locked Mytho in a dark room, which I guess is worse. "Soon he will be numb to the darkness!!!!" oh Fakir. I can see your point but wow. (Also he figured out that Ahiru is the one messing with the heart shards! I am surprised this was not dragged out longer. ETA: Watching ep 6, and I guess he hasn't. But he at least strongly suspects she knows about Mytho being the story prince so.)

Every combination of the four leads is interesting so far though, which pleases me.

Ohhhh, Fakir. (This show is actually really good about not dragging out the Clark Kent/Superman obliviousness for characters for whom that doesn't make sense. It is refreshing!) Anyway, you should look forward to episode 10! Though really everything after episode 10 is also excellent with regard to every single character SO.

In episode 8 HE SLAPPED MYTHO!! And was mean to Ahiru. And then fed her tasty bread.

Also he tried to shatter Mytho's heart, but slapping and yelling seem a lot worse to me. ...I mean there's obviously some sort of reason for the shattering so.

Yeah, the slapping is way worse because it's cruel in a way the shattering of Mytho's heart isn't.

oh god episode nine

Her Kraehe form just tried to keep Mytho from regaining the emotion of devotion, and it seems like the devotion was directed AT HER. This is like. This is ten different kinds of terrible I don't even know.

Also she has never had a friend before Ahiru tried to befriend her. RUE!! ...and yeah kind of shipping it. Tutu asking Kraehe what was wrong ;;

I KNOW RIGHT. She just believes so strongly that Mytho shouldn't get his emotions back and ughhhhhhh.

*cries about Ahiru* She cares about Rue so much and Rue doesn't understand how or why, oh my Rue.

Okay so episode 10 happened, and now I am falling for Fakir too. TINY FAKIR WAS SO SMILEY EVEN WITH DEAD PARENTS but then weird never-aging Mytho shows up. (And Mytho being a form of "Mythos" OH MY GOD SHOW I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A WEIRD COINCIDENCE WITH JAPANESE NAMING!! Possibly I should have known better, what with "Rue" and all.) And his birthmark!!

Fakir charging in with a sword while Tutu uses emotions and dance. Fakir and Kraehe being violent while Tutu and Mytho are gentle. (Mytho's "What's wrong? Why are you in pain?" to Kraehe I can't)

Also this episode was basically Everyone Loves Mytho: The Show. Ahiru, Rue, and Fakir all basically being in love with Mytho. (Not necessarily romantic love? But they fell for him. And god Fakir fell for Mytho's pure heart WHEN MYTHO LITERALLY HAD NO HEART)

I mean it's already kind of Everyone Falls in Love with Ahiru: The Show. ...well not Fakir so much yet, YET.

AND FAKIR HAS NOW SEEN THROUGH AHIRU'S SUPERMAN DISGUISE yessssss.

Everybody is in love with Mytho!! Some people are very confused about it because he has no personality, but I think it comes through that he is wired to help people even when he can't care because he has literally no emotions and may not actually be able to do anything.

But yeah, EVERYBODY ALSO LOVES AHIRU because she's Ahiru, ahhhhh, Ahiru.

Also that scene where Fakir is like '..........Princess Tutu?' and Ahiru panics and runs away shouting goodnight is literally one of my favourite scenes in the entire show. I crack up every time I think about it.

Like it's not even just people he's wired to help. He risks his life to rescue birds! ...I mean both his love interests are also birds. But I don't think EVERY bird should count as a person?? (Okay so at this point I'm not entirely sure if Rue ACTUALLY IS A CROW or just strongly affiliated with crows/ravens, but close enough.)
