From this week's
fannish5:
5 first fictional characters you had a crush on.
...I'm not sure that these were the first five, but they are five that I remember from my childhood.
1. Gambit/Remy LeBeau from the '90s X-Men cartoon. First in a line of charming rogues. (I am aware at this point that the voice actor's fake accent was ridiculous. But I was a child okay.)
2. Wolverine/Logan from the same series. I KNOW. I don't know, he was angry and brooding and had unrequited love and had a soft spot for Jubilee?? (I know he was one of my favourites, and I think I had a crush on him, but I'm not as firm on this point as I am with Gambit.) Well, at least he's Canadian. Maybe it was patriotism.
3. Bob from ReBoot.
But who didn't? He was heroic and playful and cool. (At this point I realize he's also a bit of a dork.)
Hexadecimal's behaviour
towards Bob makes complete sense to me. (I mean, Bob/Dot OTP, but if I were a villainous lady, forget Batman. Bob is the dude I would sexually harass.) ...I still have a crush on Bob, really, but late season three Bob, when he's older and wiser and mellower.
4. Tobias from the Animorphs book series, like half the readers. Original bird boyfriend~ (Before the Hatoful Boyfriend games.)
5. Prince Eric from Disney's The Little Mermaid. There was a period of time when I was three or four that my parents had to limit my watching of the movie to once a day. Not because of Eric, but just the movie in general. Ariel!! The songs!! Ursula - who actually really frightened me during the storm scene. (I always made one of them come in and watch with me during that scene.) So the crush on Eric was more of a side effect of loving the movie in general. I mean Ariel had a crush on him for a reason okay.
