You're probably not a betting man are you?
I finally saw The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus today. It was very good. Not particularly spoilery specifics:
-The sudden Monty Python reference with the giant head and dancing police officers was rather startling (oh, Terry Gilliam).
-Lily Cole was good, and I tend to be suspicious when models or singers are cast. (I saw Rage recently, and she did a decent job in that too.)
-Tom Waits was fantastic as Mr. Nick (the devil). My dad thinks he should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
-The actors that filled in for Heath Ledger (Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell) did an excellent job of portraying the same character in a way that made it clear that... he was the same character? It's a hard thing to play the character the same way. (...and it still makes me miss Heath Ledger, damnit.)
There's no lesbians in the movie, I just wanted to use this icon. (Jennifer's Body is underrated.)
