I just saw Stranger than Fiction and adored it. Best thing Will Ferrell has ever done (that I've seen), and a nice departure from his usual schtick. (Damn it Firefox, schtick can be spelled with a "c" in it! Wikipedia tells me so!) And there's Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson and Queen Latifah.

This scene where Dustin Hoffman's character asks Harold to knowingly die for the sake of GREAT LITERATURE felt like a dialogue between Joss Whedon and his many characters. Oh, tragedy. (I found that scene hilarious, but also sad. It's fantastic when you can feel both at once.)
