but the thing is, it's happened again. does it reflect on our generation the number of school shootings that we've come to see? when i was telling alvin about what's happened in VA tech, all that was running through my head was, "this isn't something i should ever have to grapple with in one lifetime."
but apparently it is. in my head i can name 4 shootings abroad, and i'm sure if i dig up my journal entries in my real journal, i'll find more. what's happening to our schools? more importantly, what has happened to us as an entirety of a human race?
i feel heartbroken. i've been crying about this. 33 people? that means 33 mourning families, and an exponential number of years and potentials gone because this little Asian kid shot them down. was he misunderstood? was he unloved? was he just like any one of us in any of our bad days?
