another year older, hopefully wiser
so the past monday was my birthday. sometimes it falls on mother's day, but not this year. this mother's day I didn't take my mom out for a meal (i did offer, but she didn't want to) or cooked for her. Instead, I went to church with her, vaccumed the house, washed my car and cleaned the bathrooms. I was freaking tired by the day's end.
As for monday, it was another story. I usually play it low key. It's not too encouraging when you know you are getting older. when a co-worker found out, he took me out for lunch. I decided on Indian food that day for god knows what reason. that indian restaurant was so empty. it was just the two of us pretty much the whole time. The food was average until our last course. we both thought that rice pudding would certainly brighten our day, but were we ever so wrong. I tasted a spoonful, and it was made out of condensed milk, which was just yucky. we had tic tac to get rid of the after taste. on the way back, my co-worker asked my age, I let him guess. he said 28. what the heck, do i look like 28? by gosh, did the rice pudding affect his brain? besides, one should never guess a high age, always keep it low. unless you are talking to a kid who wants to look older. some guy thought i was in my early 20's back in china. a cute guy too. =) what a difference. well, you guys know my age, so i will say no more.
I didn't have a birthday cake, couldn't even remember the last time i had one. I always had noodles though. my mom cooked 打鲁面 that night at my request. I could't believe she used thin noodles, while simply boiled all other ingredients. needless to say, it was pretty bad noodle. oh well, what more could i ask for.
finally after a few weeks of procrastination I uploaded my pictures. I didn't take that many pictures, due to the fact that my battery ran out and my recharger needed a different socket. how sad, I even made sure that it could work with 220v. most of the pictures were taken in 庐山， while a few were taken on the train (the country side looking and fuzzy ones).
