Just in case anyone is curious out there I figured I would write a brief post of what has been happening for the last few weeks. Of course if you don't want to know, just stop reading here. :D
Finished my program, will be walking in the school's graduation ceremony on May 8th.
Took and officially passed the ARRT Registry and I can officially say that I am a Radiologic Technologist. I can even put initials after my name! It can now read: Lillian V. Haskell R.T. (R) Fancy smancy!
I have two jobs, which is something that I am guiltily proud of. Graduates even from last year throughout the state don't have a job so the fact that I have two... well I guess I was just lucky. :) I am working per diem in the inpatient Radiology department at Brigham and Women's Hospital and I started there on March 22nd. I did part of my clinical rotation at Brigham and Women's Hospital plus I used to the be Recruiter there so it is nice to in a way go full circle and officially work there when needed. I also attained a position at Compass Medical Center through Partners Community Healthcare Inc. in East Bridgewater within their outpatient Radiology department that started on April 13th. Currently for training purposes it is per diem but they are opening a new site in Easton in the early summer and when they do I will be receiving more regular hours between the two sites. I am very excited about these two positions because of the variety it gives me in keeping up with my clinical skills, which as a new graduate I feel I can always improve. :)
There are a bunch of other things going on, plus mainly happy personal details like spending time with friends, etc. that I won't go into with this post being my business post. ;) I must admit though, having income makes me much less stressed when I do have the opportunity to spend time with friends so in the end the two avenues are related. :)
*big hugs to all* I hope all is well with you in your worlds! :D Every day I count my blessings on how truly wonderful my friends are. I wish I could give each and every one of you a hug that shows how much I appreciate you. :)
