My Dad
I just wanted to post a quick entry about my dad to quench some of the crazy rumors out there. It's kindof personal so feel free to not read on if you don't want to, I won't know. *winks*
My dad was in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, April 30th. His Harley motorcycle was hit on the right hand side by a SUV, causing him to fall, slide 15 feet still on the bike, then separately from the bike slide an additional 5 feet. For those that have ever experienced something like that happening to a loved one, you can imagine what at least the first 24 hours are like. For those that are lucky enough to say that you can’t imagine what it is like, I hope you never do. I can honestly say that I don’t think I could have gotten through that time without the support and love of Charles, Mike and Jen A. I can never say how much I appreciate them being by me during that time because I was crumbling inside and they were there to pick up the pieces.
I won’t go into details about what his injuries are/were, who’s fault it was, the trials and tribulations afterwards; but I will say that he is now at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital and will be there for at least another week or so. Then maybe another transfer, but eventually he will be home in some form. I am just extremely happy from the bottom of my heart that I got to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mom and my dad’s 60th Birthday with him this past Sunday.
Thank you to all of our friends and family that have been sending their well wishes and healing vibes for my father. I know it is helping him heal.
