"The schedule explicitly states that during rush hour the 34 trolley is supposed to run every three minutes. However, this morning the trolley was exceptionally late. The time lapse between each trolley was approximately 20 minutes and the trolleys were arriving already filled with people by the time they reached 49th and Baltimore. They had room in the very back, but the drivers were not allowing more passengers to board. Finally around 7:55 when another trolley arrived, several of us screamed and demanded to be let onto the back of the trolley. The trolley driver acquiesced, but at that point many of us were already late to work. I connect to the R8 Fox Chase train that departs at 8:08 and I obviously missed it, so I had to take a very long and expensive cab ride to Fox Chase.
I presume since many of us have NO option other than to patronize SEPTA's terrible service that absolutely nothing will be done about the slowness of the trolleys. Can you please justify SEPTA's ineptitude?
