So I've been attempting to get my schedule aligned for the next semester. Classes here, teaching there (actually, I won't know until Wednesday when I'm teaching!), work there (actually, don't even know if I HAVE a job yet, keeping my fingers crossed). Considering the PhD program I'm entering allows people in with only a Bachelor's degree I figured I wouldn't be required to take a few of the classes: the time period surveys that I'd already taken, the Resources class that mysteriously looks like my Bib class from two years ago, and Introduction to Musicology, I mean come on... I have an MM in Musicology. Well, partially right. The professor teaching the Intro to Musicology class is insisting that I take the class. You heard me right, insisting. (What in Hel's cold underworld is he thinking?!?!?!) So now I'll have to be in class until 6pm three nights a week. And now on Wednesdays, I'll drop squirt off at day care by 11 at the latest and I won't see her for a decent amount of time until after my choir rehearsals that evening that end at 9. That's right... 9. I am NOT happy about this one. I'll be surprised if I actually learn anything in this class. Err... grumble, grumble. And now I have to miss an hour of rehearsal for the A capella/Renaissance choir at church. The director is not exactly happy either!
