So.. the thesis project is going well... I managed successful communication in a foreign language to get permission to view a set of scanned manuscripts. That's a real triumph considering I haven't used my Italian much in years. Next on the docket are the histories of Padua and Santa Giustina monastery. Then I get to write a chapter about how fragments become fragments and then another on the bios of all the composers in the fragments I'm dealing with. I think that's enough for today, don't you?
