Okay, I am really out of it. I'm at school early, because I thought I had to do my homework. Then I got here, looked at my datebook, and my folders, and realized... I did it already.

Good. Job.

This weekend was exhausting :( Going to sports is exhausting. Lol but I had so much fun.

Saturday, I went to the Rangers preseason game with

fifthbusiness, and even though the Rangers lost FIVE TO ZERO to the Flyers, I still had fun, because
fifthbusiness is AWESOME. My dad and our neighbor the Kings fan were there, too, and sitting in the rich seats, so we moved down. And it was cold. Lol. My dad and Ethan kept asking me about everybody they didn't know about, including the Flyers. At which point, I did the best that I could.

Then yesterday, my mom and Corey and my mom's friend Ed and I went to the Yankees game. It was supposed to be the last home game of the regular season, but they ended up having to play a make-up game today. Oh well, it was so damn good. They were playing the Blue Jays (which I have now seen THREE TIMES this year, in both ballparks) and I was texting Bhavna, and right after I told her the Yankees were down 3-0, they tied it up.

It stayed tied for a couple of innings, but then (damn it, I wish I had my scorecard with me) the Yankees took a lead, and in the 8th inning, Vizcaino came in to pitch, and gave up two runs, making it 7-5.

We were sitting in the right field upper deck, so at that point, we looked down in to the bullpen... And Joba Chamberlain was warming up (see shirt in previous entries). And once Vizcaino started sucking, the stadium was going crazy for Joba, I mean everyone was chanting his name, and I had on my new Joba shirt, and finally, he came out of the bullpen, and took over.

It had been 2 out, and he ended up striking out the last batter. Then, after they left him in in the 9th, it went:

1-3
K
K

And it was AWESOME, and the fans love him, and the place went nuts after every strike.

And seriously? I am so excited about him. And listen, I don't get excited about pitchers. Really. I never have, because I see pitchers as being similar to goalies, despite the hype they might get, you never know what they're going to do. So I try not to get too attatched.

But I can't help it. I love Joba. Seeing him pitch is like a religious experience. He has such a presence about him. You watch him on t.v., and it's exciting, but then you see him pitch live, (and I've seen him twice) and there's nothing like it.

The Yankees probably want to make him a starter next year. But I don't want that, and neither do some of the fans. I like him exactly where he is now, as a set-up man, particularly Mariano Rivera's. And in a few years, when Mo retires, Joba can take over. I'll support him wherever they put him, but I want him to last. I want him to take Johnny Damon's spot as Favorite Yankee one day.

They only brought him up a few months ago, so it's weird, and feels kinda wrong to be excited over a new Yankee this early. I just, like I said, can't help it. He's LOVABLE. He's this 22-year-old (as of yesterday!!) kid from Nebraska, and I don't have time to type out his life's story before I go to English class, but look it up..

And having his shirt is breaking a rule I've followed for years: Don't buy a new Yankees player's shirt before they've played for a whole season. Not only did I break this rule by buying the shirt about ten months too early, but I broke it for a pitcher. WHO AM I?!

And I'm still wearing the shirt. And now I'm wearing it to English class, which I should have been getting ready to leave for already.

more stuff later, maybe.
