Uggggh :(. This morning I sat and tried for hoooours to get Opening Day tickets because pre-sale started for people with partial plans. But no luck :(

I'm a little bummed because it would probably be cool to go to the first Opening Day in the new stadium. Maybe I'll try again on Tuesday(?) when they go on sale to the public (har, har.) But at the same time, I got to go to the last game at the old Stadium, and the last Opening Day there. And besides, I didn't want a new stadium anyway. Hmph. (but I'll totally go if I get tickets, hahahaha.)

At least I have Rangers tickets for Tuesday.

Last night, my cousin Matthew was in town from Milwaukee, so Corey, my mom and I took him to see Madison Square Garden and the NHL store. I accidentally got him in to hockey after seeing him at my aunt and uncle's wedding in Virginia a few years ago. It's also completely my fault that his favorite player, who he holds on a pedestal is.... Sidney Crosby!!! Who is surprised?!?! Haha, I don't even think I had him on the pedestal Matthew has him on back during his first season when I started to like him. And he's the kind of Crosby fan that hates Ovechkin. WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?! He still has MUCH to learn in the world of hockey, but he's sixteen, so he's too stubborn to let me teach him!

Lolol. So he got a Pens shirt at the store. And my mom, who I was afraid would be bored, kept herself entertained by playing hockey on the Wii and having many, many fights. She's a good sport.

Then we met my Bubbe for dinner, which was Chinese, which I DON'T REALLY LIKE. And what do you know? It made me sick!! I felt reeeeally crappy right after I finished eating, and took a cab home after dinner because I didn't feel like feeling sick on the subway... which was a good move, because I ran right past my dad to the bathroom when I walked in.

But yes, I'm the only Jew that doesn't like Chinese. I'll go out to eat it on occasioan with my family if they really want it, but... It's not my thing. I prefer Italian, Greek, Indian, Japanese, Thai, Mexican... And not even Mexican gets me sick, so wtf?

But I feel better now :) Which is good, because dinner tonight is at Cheescake Factory on the Island for xvmorganalefayv 's birthday!!! Yay :D!

Also, I haven't seen Watchmen yet, and I really want to. But I heard it sucks if you haven't read it yet, so I bought a copy at Target and I'm working through it, and it's really good so far.

sick, god this entry has a lot of tags, hockey, family, jewish, yankee stadium, tickets, new york rangers, friends, sidney crosby, books, yankees, blah, baseball, birthdays
