I've had so much work to do this week, so I'm finally posting this.

On Sunday, my mom, her friend Ed, Corey and I went to the last home game at Yankee Stadium EVER. And it was AWESOMMME.

I'm really grateful I got to go, I grew up going to games at that Stadium and I'm glad I got to say goodbye in person. I felt lucky and special I had a ticket and I never would have sold it because it was priceless, and I know that’s cliché, but if you know me, you know I love this team and that place.

The ceremonies were really nice, especially when Bernie Williams came back and the crowd was insane... There were sooo many important Yankees there, including a bunch that I grew up watching, some of the ones I've seen win four World Series titles with the team. PLUS, they won! Lol, I can't imagine if they had LOST the last game at Yankee Stadium...

I thought I would get sad being there, and knowing that I won’t be going back, but 1.) it hasn’t really sunk in yet, and 2.) I was too happy to be there and had too much fun to be sad. I’ll be nostalgic next season.

I'm bummed they won't get to play any post-season games there, but what can ya do?

Here are a bunch of pictures. I documented a lot of silly stuff, too.

The stadium, as seen from the 4 train when it comes out of the station in the Bronx.

From the platform.

Last hot dog! Lolol.

The new Stadium :/

Going in for the last time. Thankfully, I was not intoxicated.

Inside.

Lol, outside.

Media frenzy outside the Yankees dugout.

The screens in the outfield.

Om nom nom.

The field.

This counted down the home games left.

Here are some from the ceremonies…

Okay… This was not my favorite part of the night. They had all these actors dress up in old Yankees uniforms and come out representing Ruth and Gehrig and all these guys from the past and really… I know it was meant to honor them, but I was a little creeped out, I thought it was in poor taste…

3rd basemen, including Scott Brosius!!, who hit the best home run I’ve ever seen at the Stadium (Game Five, 2001)

Some of these came out fuzzy, but, Paul O’Neill!

Willie Randolph!!! After he ran out and slid in to second!!

Yogi Berra!

BERNIE WILLIAMS!!

Bernie hugging <3

Bernie and Johnny Damon, after they announced the game’s starting line-up ♥♥♥.

The Army Field Band playing.

Anthem.

Before the start.

Andy Pettitte’s stats.

The last subway race!

Okay, every home game, they have someone pull a lever to make the counter go down. This is Michael Kay, (who is a shitty t.v. announcer, but that’s for another entry,) about pull the lever and make it go to zero…

But it ended up going down to FOREVER, which was really nice!

All-Time attendance.

The last Y.M.C.A!

Joba Chamberlain coming in to pitch!!!!

Derek Jeter. His last at bat, I think.

Top of the 9th.

And it wasn’t that close of a game, but supposedly, he was promised the 9th…

Mariano Rivera.

Yankees win!!

Police everywhere in case of shenanigans.

Our captain, addressing the crowd and thanking the fans ♥.

The team tipping their caps.

Wearing my awesome Last Game hat!

Inside the bathroom for the last time!! … I think that’s a sorority pose, why did I do that?

And, Corey and me leaving for the last time. Notice I’m still smiling : )
