Apparently, the paper didn't look TOO shitty, because we had our first open meeting today and people actually showed up!! Some were definitely promising, and some seemed like cool people, so I hope they come back... And I got the football home opener covered, and a photographer assigned to it... But I'm always on edge.
I'm tired because last night I went out and lost my burlesque show virginity! Lol, I only go out late on Monday nights for special occasions!!
It was Heidi's birthday, and she and the bf and a bunch of friends went to Public Assembly in Brooklyn, which was having Monday Night Burlesque. And it was so much fun!! The girls were gorgeous and some were really awesome dancers. And they were all really different and had such different acts and danced to such different music. One of them did this aerial act with these long silk scarves hanging from the ceiling... It was definitely an experience. I want to again!
It was in Williamsburg, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww. But I really only saw the hipsters when I was going to the L train.
