Summer II started today. When my Journalism teacher came in, I thought she was a student. Then she promptly sat on the desk barefoot. Lol. My Bowling instructor asked who was a Mets fan, and after class after I asked him a question had this conversation:

Him: Were you one of the Mets fans?
Me: No.
Him: Oh, Derek Jeter?
Me: No. (1)
Him: A-Rod?
Me: No (2)
Him: ... Who do you like?
Me: Joba Chamberlain
Him: Oh. He pitched last night.
Me: I know, I was there.
Him: Does your dad have tickets?
Me: We have the Sunday plan. (3)

1. That's so not true, I love Derek Jeter!
2. And A-Rod
3. They're my mom's tickets.

But I didn't want to explain all of that on the first day becaues I'd just get really riled up lolol. I told it to my mom, and she said " I can't believe in the 30 year gap between me being in school and you, people are having the same conversation."

Seriously.

Speaking of sports, yesterday was an AMAZING SPORTS DAY.

So first, Rafael Nadal BEAT ROGER FEREDER AT WIMBLEDON!!!! It was so amazing. Rafa is my second favorite, second only to James Blake, and he's never beaten Federer in this tournament!!

My dad watched the first two sets with me, and then went to a concert and DVR'ed the rest, so I was sitting there watching it and freaking out by myself.

So it went five sets, and I was DYING because Rafa had SO MANY chances to win it before then and DIDN'T. I mean, of course since he was playing Roger, it wouldn't be easy, but I just wanted him to do it already...

But he finally won and I was jumping around and yelling. By myself, lol. And I totally got choked up. My little Rafa all grown up and beating Federer at Wimbledon :')

And I couldn't even watch all the post-match interviews and whatnot because at 4:30 I had to start getting ready to go to the Yankees/Red Sox game. WHICH WAS AWESOME.

First, A-Rod hit a home run that tired him with Mickey Mantle on the all-time list. Then in the 5th it was 3-1 Boston, then 3-2 in the 6th, then 4-2 in the top of the 7th and the Yankees tied it up in the bottom.

So Mariano comes in in the 9th and the third batter he faces is Manny Ramirez, who only came in then. After cheering and booing all night, my head and throat didn't hurt until I started to boo him because it was loud and hard. And he fucking struck out.

Okajima and Papelbon pitched for Boston. And in the bottom of the 10th, Cano gets on with a single and gets to first with a SAC from Melky. Then Betemit strikes out and of course, it has to come down to the new guy, Bret Gardner, playing for the injured Johnny Damon. And what does New Guy do? Singles for the win. Aaron Boone-fashion.

Best game I've been to all year. It was the kind where the fans stay and sing "New York, New York" over and over. I love my team. I don't care what place we're in (at the moment.)

yay, rafael nadal, sports, hyper, yankee stadium, tennis, yankees, baseball
