Last time I wrote in this, I was about to get my wisdom teeth out. The procedure itself went okay (except for the 6 shots they gave me with really long needles that they put allll the way in). It was actually shorter than I'd been anticipating, and it was after that I really should have been worried about, lol.

First of all, thank god my dad was there to take me home, because I had serious double vision from the injections and was pretty much walking around in circles. Looking back, it was probably pretty hilarious, but at the time it was sooo aggravating. I had to hold on to dad and walk down the street to the car with one hand over my eye. THEN, I found out that my body does not like penicillin. I'm not allergic, but it made me really sick. I was the sickest on Wednesday night, and I still feel a little lightheaded. Blech. This is impairing my US Open-visiting.

Anyway, going backwards, Monday was the Mockingay release at Books of Wonder. The "party" itself was kinda lame. It was PACKED and they were really understaffed, so there really wasn't much to do. But at 11:30 the author came and read part of the first chapter and at midnight they gave out the books and we waited online to get them stamped by her. And Corey and I told her how much we love the Hunger Games and thanked her for writing them. I'm only halfway done with it Mockingjay, but it's sooo good so far.

Virginia/D.C. this past weekend was great, as usual. Friday night we went to this seafood place in Virginia that I'm obsessed with, and then went to the movies. I wanted to see Scott Pilgrim, but the times weren't working out, so we saw the Expendables, and it was ridiculous. But somewhat entertaining. On Saturday my aunt and I went shopping and then we all went to the Ravens/Redskins preseason game. I hadn't been to any kind of NFL game in yeeeears =D. Then on Sunday Aunt Marcia and I got our nails done, then we all shopped more, and then it was time for me to spend five hours trying to fly back home. Long story short, we sat on the tarmac forever, flew within 20 minutes of LaGuardia before being sent back towards Reagan because of weather before THEN being sent back towards LaGuardia. That's supposed to be a 45-minute flight. Nice.

Well, the first thing I did was walk up Michigan avenue to find the Blackhawks shop and bought a Kane t shirt XD Then we met my cousins from Milwaukee for dinner at Millennium Park ♥ Pictures of us will show up on Facebook at some point o_O

On Monday, my dad went to the Art Institute while Corey and I went to the Shedd Aquarium, which was AWESOME. We were supposed to go to Sears Tower because the last time Corey was in Chicago he went up, but it was cloudy. But the line was insane so he said it wasn't worth it... But I still felt bad :( :(.

Anyway, crappy aquarium pics, before my freaking camera died.

The lake from outside the aquarium:

lulz.

That night we all went to the original Uno's for dinner =D

Which was across the street from a Bloomingdales ♥

Nom.

On Tuesday, one of dad's friends who lives out there met up with us. We walked around taking pictures...

And went on a boat tour of the river...

And had delicious barbecue. Then Dad, Corey and I went to walk around one of the Loyola campuses since Corey is applying there, and then went to Wrigley Field for the Padres/Cubs game!! AAAAAAH I was so excited to go to Wrigley, it was amazing :'). It's seriously a place of baseball worship. The Cubs lost 1-0, but oh wellz. I got to see Soriano :')

And that's about it. Short, but nice trip :)

sick, stadiums and arenas, football, corey, family, sports, a straight up thug town called arlington, food, pictures, health, travel, books, baseball, shopping, trips
