I have surprised myself with how well I seem to be transitioning into a more mindful, healthy eating pattern.
To say I have upped the fruits and vegetable intake would be an understatement. I am focusing my meals around those vegetables while incorporating whole grains and lean protein(s). So far the scale is showing that I am down five pounds, but I am not focusing on that. I can, instead, focus on how I am already noticing a difference in the way I feel. I especially notice it in my legs and my thighs. Perhaps I should have measured to see if I am loosing inches? Oh well.
I have also cut back on my coffee consumption (not that I was ever a huge coffee drinker), and am now down to about 1/2 a mug per morning. Wine is also pretty much gone, but I might indulge in the odd glass here and there on the weekend(s).
I am proud of myself.
