Oh man, I just wanted to say...
God again and again shows his grace and his mercy. I love having a forgiving God who loves unconditionally. He keeps NO records of wrongs. I screw up again and again, yet God shows love again in it's purest sense.
We all screw up, and God is always the one who shows his love towards us. It isn't even a love we can fathom. We have our Earthly idea of what love could be, but God shows love in a completely different way.
Adam and Eve, they screw up and eat the forbidden fruit, and God puts some boundaries up to protect them from making a mistake like that again. After he gives the punishment (as we punish our children with intent to love), God then makes the first sacrifice for them. God brings them the animal, and they witness God killing an innocent being so that they could survive now knowing they were naked.
Daniel is another great example. King Daniel sees Bathsheba and then takes action toward that lust. He sleeps with her, and then she gets pregnant. Daniel sins again and get's her husband killed. God not only allows Daniel to continue being king, God lets his nation become the most powerful in the land.
And the most exciting one of all. His son. "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
So many people ask, "Couldn't GOD just have forgiven us? Did he really have to give up his son? Why did someone have to suffer?" Well, if GOD just had Jesus pay some money, or maybe God just forgave you, would you appreciate it more? Personally, I am in owe at the fact that God turned away from his one and only son, who he loved and adored, so that we could be forgiven, and I appreciate the love that God had for mankind to turn away from the son he sent to us. Christ's death freed us from our chains. Sin has lost it's power, death has lost it's sting. We don't need to worry! Christ has sealed our destiny with Him in Heaven!
While most people fear death AND dying, I know that the pain of death is a small price to pay for what lies on the other side.

Thanks GOD! What you did for me and everyone else was truly marvelous! I know if I had a thousand years to thank you, that still wouldn't be enough, but it's nice knowing I have a place up their with my name waiting for me to inhabit it. I will do my best to glorify your name with every breath I take till death finds me. In the meantime, thanks for your forgiveness, thanks for your love, thanks for your son, and thanks for the blessings you have given me. I love you GOD!
In YOUR name,
Matt
