The Definition of a "Narrow Minded Christian"
If you are a christian, and by Christian, I mean you actually practice what you believe, you have probably heard this before. I just want to give you words of encouragement, that I have gathered just yesterday for this topic:
First, I want you to know that God says that you will be ridiculed. You will be "made fun of" for being a strong Christian. What God wants you to know is he is on your side. First, it says in Matthew 5, verses 10-12:
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
That is just one example of God being on your side. I also want you to know that their are SO MANY examples where continuing to follow God still allows you to win. In Genesis, where Joseph if being lusted after by Pharaoh's wife, she lies and says that he tried to rape her, and Joseph was sent to prison, but even their that God was with Joseph.
What I am trying to say is that the people who call you a narrow minded Christian, are the people who can't devote 10 minutes to God, or make some time to go to church, so they persecute you to bring you down to their level, and make them feel better for the things they are doing. Don't Let That Happen!!! Your better then that. God will bless you, I promise!
