Ever wonder what An's kanji stands for?

Hi, everyone! I'm Song.

Thought I'd share some information I've picked up along the way.

The Kanji 杏 in An's name means apricot, which in Romanji is Anzu.

Tachibana, of course, is a type of orange.

Kippei means strong tree or something like that. I'd have to look it up.

A lot of the characters have interesting meanings to their names.

I don't remember if I looked that up for an RP or for a fanfic, but it stuck in my mind.

According to a One Piece sub I saw, "An-chan" is slang for "man" (like hey, you!) in western Japan. This amuses me because, if it's true, I like to think her brother started calling her An-chan to tease her.

I will definitely remember it from now on as well. XD

Wow, that sounds awesome! And completely believable, too: Kippei totally would. :D

Wow, I never knew that. =O

I only know that Tachibana means orange. There's this summer tree called 'Hana Tachibana', which means 'Wild Orange Blossoms', which I read from some random site that it was famous and sacred. I'm not really sure of the right wordings but it said that it stands on the right side of the Emperor (as Sakura's stand on its left).

And I lol'ed at the 'An-chan' meaning. XD Thanks for the very useful information. Yep, we can definitely use these for future fics. ;D
